This course prepares you for progression to Higher Education to study Business and Finance.
The objective of the course is to provide a supportive and friendly environment to enable you to develop your potential and to prepare you for University-level study, with many past students going on to gain degrees and other awards.
What Will I Learn?
You will study Law, Management and Human Resources, Marketing, IT, Business Administration and Finance.
You will also undertake an investigative project, communication study skills and numeracy. A rang of units are studied for each subject areas. All areas are compulsory and are worth 60 credits in total.
You will require a good standard of numeracy and literacy including Communications Level 2 or GCSE English at grade A*-C.
You will be invited to attend an interview, where you will be given the opportunity to write a short statement (500 words) explaining your reasons for joining the course. All learners will also undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy to establish any support required.
You will be continually assessed with at least one controlled assessment in each subject area. Assignments are graded Pass, Merit, or Distinction. You will also be expected to maintain your course files and all portfolios to the required standards.

Financial managers and directors plan, organise, direct and co-ordinate financial information and advise on company financial policy.
There are no pre-set entry standards, although entry is most common with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification. Professional qualifications are available and are required for certain posts.
