On this course you will study a number of NVQ units in Performing Engineering Operations. This may include Wiring Enclosures, Electronic Assembly and Electrical CAD.
What Will I Learn?
You will study a range of units for the VRQ Level 3 leading to a level 3 Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Working towards a Welsh Baccalaureate at advanced level you will explore a wide range of areas including how Wales 'fits in' with Europe and the rest of the world, the health of the nation and how to be enterprising.
5 GCSE’s A*-C passes which should include Maths, English, Science or a Level 2 qualification in Electronics.
You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.
Your practical competences will be continually assessed and you will sit a multiple-choice examination.

- You can progress to Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Technology Level 3 which includes Control Engineering, Radar and Radio Systems along with Electronic Principles. Having developed fundamental practical skills and a basic understanding of electrical and electronic concepts, employment opportunities exist in the field of Instrumentation and Electronic Control, such as petro chemical, gas and water distribution along with Electronic Assembly and Automation.
