This course will help you gain confidence to progress further in your chosen occupational area and will enhance your own personal development, helping you to achieve your goals in education and training
What Will I Learn?
You will study a variety of units, which could include Health & Social Care for Children, Young People & Adults, Health & Safety, Preparation for Employment, Play & Practical Activities, Personal Development, and Nutrition.
You will also study Essential Skills for Work & Life, Communications and Application of Number. During the course you will undertake practical work experience.
Entry Requirements
You will require 3 GCSEs at A*- D, which must include Maths and English/Welsh, or completion of a full vocational programme which must include GCSE Maths and English/Welsh at grades A*-D or equivalent. As well as producing a satisfactory DBS , applicants are required to provide evidence of their suitability to work in the care sector . All applicants will be provided with a “ Suitability for Care pro-forma “ that must be completed. Plus two satisfactory reference and DBS clearance. You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.

Assessment
You will be asked to complete assignments during the year and will be assessed on these. CACHE recommends that a minimum of 80% attendance is essential to successfully complete the course.
