Course Information
This course is particularly suited to those within the Engineering sector and will be delivered via lectures, tutorials and laboratory work. This course comprises of one day and one evening per year, although this does have some flexibility to allow students and their employers to study at their selected rate.
What Will I Learn?
In your first year you will study four modules. Electrical Technology- 20 credits Introduction to C Programming for Electronic Hardware Applications - 20 credits Engineering Mathematics - 20 credits Electronics 1 - 20 credits
In your Second Year you There is a choice of Two Routes Route One (Complete The HNC) you will study Two modules. Programmable Logic Controllers - 20 credits Control and instrumentation - 20 credits
Route Two (Complete The HNC+ Which Will allow progression to the foundation degree) where you will study Four modules. Programmable Logic Controllers - 20 credits Electronics 2 - 20 credits Control and instrumentation - 20 credits Power, Machines and power electronic devices – 20 credits
Entry Requirements

Combinations of qualifications are acceptable and other qualifications not listed may also be acceptable. GCSEs: The College normally requires a minimum 3 GCSEs including Mathematics and English at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, or their equivalent but consideration is given to individual circumstances
Assessment
Assessment will include written assignments, laboratory experiential learning, an examination and research reports related to industrial workplace.
