What will I learn?

Mastering ETL Processes: Learn to design, implement, and automate efficient Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines using core AWS services. You’ll understand how to ingest, clean, and prepare vast datasets for analysis and consumption.

Employed (inc. agency & zero hour contracts),
Self-employed,
Full-time carer,
Prisoner on day release

Entry requirements

Candidates should ideally hold AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification.

Professional or hobbyist experience in all of the following are required:

Design, implementation and maintenance of ETL Pipelines
Programming fundamentals in any common programming language
Database design and querying
Database design and querying
Version control
AWS S3, Redshift and Kafka
AWS services for encryption, governance, protection, and logging

If applicants intend to complete any part of this programme online they should ensure that they have a device that is capable of downloading and running the latest desktop version of Microsoft Power BI. The device should meet the following minimum specification:

Minimum Processor: Intel i3 or AMD Ryzen 3
Minimum RAM: 8GB
Maximum Age: 5 years

Laptops can be provided to participants who attend the programme in-person.

Assessment

Exam lasting 130 minutes.

Career progression

After completing the AWS Certified Data Engineering Associate, you could complete the AWS Solution Architect certification. You could also progress onto an HNC/D in Cloud Computing or onto a Level 5 Diploma in Web Development.

Course dates will be discussed directly with the training provider upon successful completion of funding application. Any course dates arranged with the training provider prior to funding being secured may not be honoured – Course dates will only be confirmed once funding has been approved.
