Overview

Cert-ain accredited ACS sector module for LPG: CCLP1 RPH (Residential Park Homes). Confirms sector-specific competence to work on LPG installations serving residential park homes in line with current gas safety legislation and manufacturers’ instructions. Successful completion, held alongside Core LPG (CCLP1) supports Gas Safe registration for the LPG – RPH sector (scheme rules apply).

What will I learn?

Sector principles for park homes: LPG storage (cylinders/bulk), siting and separation distances, access and emergency arrangements
Regulators & safety devices: OPSO/UPSO, changeover valves, over-pressure protection and venting (RPH application)
Pipework for RPH: materials, routing (external runs, underfloor/voids), entry points, burial/sleeving, corrosion protection and mechanical protection
Tightness testing, let-by and purging procedures for LPG on RPH installations
Ventilation & flueing for appliances in park homes; terminal positions and integrity checks
Unsafe situations (ID/AR/NS) specific to RPH environments; isolation, warning notices and records
Documentation & handover: sector-specific records, labelling and user guidance

Living in Wales

Plus, one of the following:

Employed (inc. agency & zero hour contracts), earning under £34,303
Self-employed, earning under £34,303
Full-time carer, earning under £34,303
Prisoner on day release

Entry requirements

Current CCLP1 (Core LPG – Generic) or CoLPNG1 (Core LPG Changeover) (or undertaken in the same programme, per scheme rules)

Assessment

Theory: multi-choice/short answers
Practical: Observed tasks on approved rigs – sector-specific tightness/purging, regulator checks, storage/siting principles, ventilation/flue checks, unsafe situations and documentation
Professional discussion/oral questioning where required

Career progression

Additional LPG sectors: PD (Permanent Dwellings), LAV (Leisure Accommodation Vehicles), Boats
Changeover to Natural Gas: CoLPNG1 (LPG -> NG Core)
Manufacturer product training; supervisory/QS pathways

Course dates will be discussed directly with the training provider upon successful completion of funding application. Any course dates arranged with the training provider prior to funding being secured may not be honoured – Course dates will only be confirmed once funding has been approved.
