This level 3 qualification is designed for qualified electricians who wish to develop their skills in the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment. The course provides the knowledge and practical skills necessary to install, inspect, test, and commission domestic and commercial EV charge points safely and in line with current regulations. It supports those seeking to work under the OZEV (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) grant schemes and comply with BS 7671 and IET Code of Practice requirements.

Learners must hold a Level 3 electrical installation qualification. 18th Edition (BS7671) certification is also required.
Theory exam (multiple choice, open book).
Course dates will be discussed directly with the training provider upon successful completion of funding application. Any course dates arranged with the training provider prior to funding being secured may not be honoured – Course dates will only be confirmed once funding has been approved.
