Learners from Coleg y Cymoedd are celebrating the results of this year’s Skills Competition Wales. Following months of hard work, competitors came together for a college watch party to see the results announced live – sharing the moment with friends, staff and each other.
It was a proud evening for the college, with learners achieving an incredible set of results across a wide range of competitions, including gold, silver and bronze medals, as well as a number of Highly Commended recognitions.
A special mention goes to Isla Moulding, who was awarded Best in Region (East Wales) for Inclusive Skills Restaurant Service.
More than anything, the evening was a chance to celebrate the effort, confidence and commitment each learner has shown to reach this stage.
Janet Edwards, Head of Learner Recruitment and Progression, said: “It was such a special evening. Seeing our learners find out their results together and celebrate alongside each other, and with the staff who have worked so hard to support them, was fantastic – we’re incredibly proud of them all.”
Congratulations to everyone who took part, you’ve done yourselves and the college proud.
