Overview

The ABC Scrum Master course provides a solid foundation in the principles of the Scrum framework and the role of the Scrum Master. It prepares participants for the ABC Scrum Master qualification, assessing their understanding of Agile principles, the Scrum Guide, and key Scrum techniques. Ideal for aspiring or current Scrum Masters, as well as managers and team members working with Scrum, the course helps individuals support teams and organisations in effectively adopting Scrum practices.

What will I learn?

Understand the Scrum framework, including its principles, theory, and core components
Confidently perform the role of a Scrum Master, supporting teams and organisations in adopting Scrum
Apply Agile fundamentals and Scrum practices such as self-organisation, empirical product development, and Scrum events
Manage Scrum artefacts like the Product Backlog, and progress tracking
Facilitate Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives to drive continuous improvement

Prisoner on day release

Entry requirements

There are no formal prerequisites for enrolling in the ABC Scrum Master course. However, it is recommended that learners have:

Some experience working on Agile projects, or
Previously attended an Agile Project Management Foundation or Practitioner course

This helps participants better understand and apply the Scrum concepts covered in the training.

Assessment

Closed book multiple choice exam, lasting 40mins. 50 questions in total, requiring 37 marks to pass (74%)

Career progression

The ABC Scrum Master certification supports career growth into roles such as Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, and eventually Agile Coach or Programme Manager, by equipping professionals to lead Scrum teams and drive Agile adoption within organisations.

Course dates will be discussed directly with the training provider upon successful completion of funding application. Any course dates arranged with the training provider prior to funding being secured may not be honoured – Course dates will only be confirmed once funding has been approved.
