Learn the techniques involved in analysing network intrusions and host intrusions, become an expert in security governance, dive deeper than before into core security concepts, familiarise yourself with the patterns and practices involved in monitoring and logging and stay up to date with the latest strategies for dealing with the latest threats. Learn all this and more in a labs driven environment with industry professionals on hand every step of the way. Whether you’re looking to move into IT management or increase your knowledge in your current role the Cisco CyberOps Associate will equip you with everything you need.

Entry requirements

The ideal candidate will hold the Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate certification.

Knowledge and skills you are recommended to have before attending this training are:

  • Familiarity with ehternet and TCP/IP networking
  • Working knowledge of the Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with basics of networking security concepts
  • These skills can be found in the Cisco Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA) course

If applicants intend to complete any part of this programme online they should ensure that they have a device that is capable of downloading and running the latest desktop version of Microsoft Power BI. The device should

  • Minimum Processor: Intel i3 or AMD Ryzen 3
  • Minimum RAM: 8GB
  • Maximum Age: 5 years

Laptops can be provided to participants who attend the programme in-person.

Assessment

Exam lasting 120 minutes.

Career progression

After completing this programme you could progress onto any of the following:

  • Cybersecurity Professional (350-201 CBRCOR) – Performing Cybersecurity using Cisco security technologies
  • Cybersecurity Professional (300-215 CBRFIR) – Conducting forensic analysis and incident response using Cisco technologies for cybersecurity
  • Cybersecurity Professional (300-220 CBRTHD) – Conducting threat hunting and defending using Cisco technologies for cybersecurity

Course dates will be discussed directly with the training provider upon successful completion of funding application. Any course dates arranged with the training provider prior to funding being secured may not be honoured – Course dates will only be confirmed once funding has been approved.
