Overview

Unleash your potential in the critical field of cybersecurity with the Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) – Cybersecurity.

Dive deep into a dynamic, labs-driven environment where theoretical knowledge meets practical application. Under the guidance of seasoned industry practitioners, you’ll master essential security principles, moving beyond basic concepts to truly understand how to protect vital digital assets.

We will cover:

  • Core Security Principles: Grasp the fundamental building blocks of cybersecurity, including common threats, vulnerabilities, and the adversaries that exploit them
  • Network and Endpoint Security: Learn to fortify critical infrastructure, from securing network devices and protocols (like TCP/IP) to protecting individual workstations, servers, and mobile devices. You’ll explore host-based firewalls, malware prevention, and system hardening techniques
  • Vulnerability Assessment & Risk Management: Develop the skills to identify weaknesses in systems and applications, assess potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them. This includes understanding common vulnerabilities (CVEs) and using industry-standard tools.
  • Incident Handling & Digital Forensics: Understand the full lifecycle of a security incident, from initial detection and analysis to containment, eradication, and recovery. You’ll also touch upon the basics of digital forensics, learning how to preserve evidence and attribute attacks.

Whether your ambition is to join a Security Operations Center (SOC) team as a CyberOps specialist, actively monitoring and responding to threats, or to become a White Hat hacker, using your skills ethically to identify and fix vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them, the CCST equips you with a robust industry-recognised foundation. This certification doesn’t just prepare you for a job; it accelerates your journey into a high-demand, impactful career in cybersecurity.
