Overview

Formerly the IEMA Foundation Certificate. This introductory course provides a practical and accessible route into sustainability and environmental management. Designed for those at the start of their journey, it equips learners with a solid understanding of key environmental and sustainability principles and how they apply to real-world contexts. This course is ideal for individuals new to sustainability roles or anyone looking to enhance their understanding to support their organisation’s environmental performance.

Aged 19+
Living in Wales

Plus, one of the following:

Employed (inc. agency & zero hour contracts),
Self-employed,
Full-time carer,
Prisoner on day release

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. A good standard of English is recommended, and an interest in sustainability or environmental issues will be beneficial.

Assessment

1 hour open-book, online multiple-choice assessment.

Career progression

Successful completion of this course can lead to:

Associate membership of ISEP (AISEP)
Progression to the ISEP Certificate in Environmental Management
Entry-level sustainability or environmental roles
A valuable foundation for anyone looking to integrate sustainability into their current role
