Overview

This course is designed for professionals who plan, deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams-based collaboration systems. It covers Teams Phone, Teams Rooms, Teams Premium, and certified devices. Learners will gain hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams admin tools, PowerShell, and the Call Quality Dashboard, and learn how to implement secure and efficient collaboration solutions.

What will I learn?

After completing this course, you will be able to design and implement Teams Phone with PSTN connectivity using Calling Plans, Operator Connect, and Direct Routing. You will manage Teams meetings, webinars, and town halls, configure Microsoft Teams Rooms and Surface Hub devices, monitor and optimise performance using Teams admin tools and PowerShell, apply identity and access management best practices, configure and manage Teams devices and collaboration spaces, and troubleshoot Teams collaboration systems.

Entry requirements

There are no formal prerequisites, but learners should have general knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, a basic understanding of networking, telecommunications, and audio/visual technologies, familiarity with identity and access management concepts, and some experience with PowerShell and Microsoft Teams administration.

Assessment

The exam code is MS-721. It is a 100-minute closed book exam with a pass mark of 700 out of 1000. The exam is proctored and includes interactive components.

Career progression

This certification qualifies professionals for roles such as Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer, Teams Voice Engineer, or Unified Communications Specialist. With further experience and certifications, individuals can progress to positions like Senior UC Engineer, Microsoft Teams Architect, or Head of Collaboration Technologies.
