Overview

This course prepares learners to manage devices and client applications in a Microsoft 365 tenant using Microsoft Intune. It covers solutions for efficient deployment, configuration, protection, management, and monitoring of endpoints across various operating systems, platforms, and device types. Learners will gain expertise in implementing identity, security, access policies, updates, and apps for endpoints, and managing endpoints at scale using tools like Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Entre ID, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Windows 365.

What will I learn?

After completing this course, you will be able to plan and execute endpoint deployment strategies, integrate Microsoft Intune for modern management, configure and manage endpoint security, deploy applications, manage compliance policies, and monitor device health and performance across your organisation.

Entry requirements

There are no formal prerequisites, but learners should have experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Microsoft 365 technologies, and Intune. Familiarity with managing Windows and non-Windows devices, basic understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and PowerShell, and comfort with cloud-based solutions and policy-based management are recommended.

Assessment

The exam code is MD-102. It is a 100-minute closed book exam with a pass mark of 700 out of 1000. The exam is proctored and may include interactive components.

Career progression

This certification qualifies professionals for roles such as Endpoint Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator, IT Manager, Support Technician, or Security and Identity Administrator. With further experience and certifications, individuals can progress to senior roles like Modern Workplace Architect or Head of IT Operations.
