Overview

This course is designed for IT professionals who implement, manage, and monitor Microsoft Azure environments. It covers key services related to compute, storage, networking, identity, and governance. Learners will gain hands-on experience with Azure tools such as the Azure portal, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Resource Manager templates. The course prepares candidates to manage Azure subscriptions, secure identities, configure virtual networking, implement storage solutions, and monitor Azure resources.

What will I learn?

After completing this course, you will be able to manage Azure identities and governance, implement and manage storage, deploy and manage Azure compute resources, configure and manage virtual networking, and monitor and back up Azure resources.

Entry requirements

There are no formal prerequisites, but successful Azure Administrators typically have experience with operating systems, virtualisation, cloud infrastructure, storage structures, and networking. Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and encryption technologies is recommended. Completion of the Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) course is also advised.

Assessment

The exam code is AZ-104. It is a 100-minute closed book exam with a pass mark of 700 out of 1000. The exam includes scenario-based and interactive components.

Career progression

This certification qualifies professionals for roles such as Azure Administrator, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or IT Systems Administrator. With further experience and certifications, individuals can progress to senior roles like Cloud Solutions Architect or Azure DevOps Engineer.
