Entry requirements

The ideal candidate will hold the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals Certification.

As an Azure AI engineer, you have experience developing solutions that use languages such as:

Python
C#

You should be able to use Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs and SDKs to biuld secure image processing, video processing, natural language processing, knowledge mining, and generative AI solutions on Azure. You should:

Understand the components that make up the Azure AI portfolio and the available data storage options
Be able to apply responsible AI principles

If applicants intend to complete any part of this programme online they should ensure that they have a device that is capable of downloading and running the latest desktop version of Microsoft Power BI. The device should

Assessment

Exam lasting 100 minutes.

Career progression

After undertaking this programme, you could progress onto an Associate Certification including the Microsoft Azure Developer Associate.

Entry requirements

There are no formal prerequisites, but learners should have experience with Microsoft Azure and programming in Python or C#. Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and AI concepts is recommended. Completing Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) is advised before taking this course.

Assessment

The exam code is AI-102. It is a 100-minute closed book exam with a pass mark of 700 out of 1000. The exam includes scenario-based and interactive components.

Career progression

This certification qualifies professionals for roles such as Azure AI Engineer, AI Developer, or Machine Learning Engineer. With further experience and certifications, individuals can progress to senior roles like AI Solutions Architect or Head of AI Strategy.
