Overview

This course is designed for architects and engineers who plan, migrate, and operate SAP workloads on Microsoft Azure. It focuses on implementing industry-specific standards for SAP migrations and integrations, ensuring sustained operation of SAP solutions in Azure, and optimising resources for resiliency, performance, and scalability. Learners will gain expertise in managing SAP infrastructure using the Azure portal, Azure Marketplace, and Azure Resource Manager templates. The course covers SAP applications and databases including SAP HANA, SAP Business Suite, and SAP NetWeaver, and includes topics such as virtualisation, cloud infrastructure, storage, high availability, disaster recovery, and networking.

What will I learn?

After completing this course, you will be able to plan and deploy SAP workloads on Azure, explore laaS foundations and identity governance for SAP, implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, migrate SAP workloads to Azure, and monitor and troubleshoot SAP environments in Azure. You will also learn to design and implement infrastructure to support SAP workloads and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Entry requirements

It is strongly recommended that candidates hold the Azure Administrator Associate certification. Learners should have extensive experience with SAP applications and databases and a solid understanding of virtualisation, cloud infrastructure, storage, networking, and data protection.

Assessment

The exam code is AZ-120. It is a 100 minute proctored exam with a pass mark of 700 out of 1000. The exam includes scenario-based and interactive components.

Career progression

This certification qualifies professionals for roles such as SAP Cloud Architect, Azure Infrastructure Engineer for SAP, or SAP Migration Consultant. With further experience and certifications, individuals can progress to senior roles like Enterprise Architect or Head of SAP Cloud Strategy.
