Overview

This certification is designed for professionals who plan, implement, and manage Azure networking solutions. It focuses on designing and maintaining core network infrastructure, hybrid connectivity, application delivery services, private access to Azure services, and network security. Learners will gain expertise in optimising performance, resiliency, scale, and security of Azure networking environments. The course also covers monitoring and troubleshooting network issues and working collaboratively with solution architects, cloud administrators, security engineers, and developers.

What will I learn?

After completing this course, you will be able to design and implement core networking infrastructure, establish hybrid networking connections, configure load balancing and routing, implement private access to Azure services, and manage network security and monitoring. You will also learn to optimise Azure networking solutions for performance and reliability.

Entry requirements

Learners should have experience in enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, and network security. A solid understanding of virtualisation technologies, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, encryption, and hybrid connectivity methods is recommended. Familiarity with software-defined networking and disaster recovery strategies is also beneficial.

Assessment

The exam code is AZ-700. It is a 100 minute proctored exam with a pass mark of 700 out of 1000. The exam includes scenario-based and interactive components.

Career progression

This certification qualifies professionals for roles such as Azure Network Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or Network Security Specialist. With further experience and certifications, individuals can progress to senior roles like Cloud Solutions Architect or Head of Network Operations
