It is designed for individuals looking to gain a broad understanding of how Microsoft solutions support and enhance organisational security and regulatory compliance. This certification is ideal for those exploring roles in cybersecurity, compliance, or identity management within a Microsoft environment.

What will I learn?

This certification introduces key concepts in security, compliance, and identity and highlights how Microsoft technologies provide solutions in each area. The course is structured around four content areas:

Describe the Concepts of Security, Compliance, and identity: Understand basic terminology, the shared responsibility model, Zero Trust principles, and the importance of defence in depth across cloud and on-premises environments.
Describe the Capabilities of Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD): Explore identity and access management tools such as single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access, and role-based access control (RBAC).
Describe Microsoft Security Solutions: Gain insight into Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and other tools designed to detect, prevent, and respond to security threats.
Describe Microsoft Compliance Solutions: Learn how Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, Insider Risk Management, and compliance manager tools help organisations meet regulatory requirements and manage data responsibly.
