Coleg y Cymoedd was formed in 2013 through a merger of The College Ystrad Mynach and Coleg Morgannwg. The college now has four campuses in Aberdare, Nantgarw, Rhondda and Ystrad Mynach.
More than 9,000 learners study with us each year on a range of full-time and part-time courses from entry to degree level.

£40 million to build the modern Nantgarw campus.
2015
£2.4 million on the Railway Training Centre at Nantgarw and £1.8 million on the Motor Vehicle Facility at Ystrad Mynach.
2017
£22 million to build the Aberdare campus
2021
£3.4 million refurbishment at Rhondda.
2022
£10.5 million to refurbish Ystrad Mynach.
2023
£7.5 million to build Nantgarw’s Sporting Centre of Excellence.
